International Car Shipping: Permanent Export:
If you are taking your vehicle out of Great Britain permanently you must notify DVLA. If you have a Registration Document (V5) you can do this by completing section C to show the intended date of export. The V5 should then be returned to DVLA or to a DVLA Local Office. In its place you will receive a Certificate of Permanent Export (V561) as confirmation of your vehicle's registration. If you have a Registration Certificate (V5C) then you must notify export on the purple section (V5C/4). 

Must Dos 

You must take your Registration Certificate with you as you may have to hand it over to the relevant authority when the vehicle is registered abroad. We take great care of your goods

Great care must be taken in securing your vehicle into the container. Cars must be secured to the flooring rings of the container by ratchet straps and the wheels must be locked into position by wooden chocks. Roll on Roll off (RORO) method of car shipping offers a cost effective way of shipping cars(saloon and 4×4’s), vans, minibuses, buses, trucks, tractors, agricultural machinery and plant as units are only charged for the space they take on the Vessel. YFT ship new and used vehicles and self-propelled machinery from the UK. We offer both door to port and port to port service from the UK. Vehicles can either be driven to the port or transported on our door to port service. We have access to all the vessels departing from the UK on a weekly basis.

Container car shipping method offers a secure and safer way of shipping vehicles. Our warehouse load and secure vehicles/personal effects in all size containers. We offer both door to port and port to port container shipping services. YFT offer container loading and lashing services at our Southampton warehouse / Felixstowe and London Gateway. Alternatively the containers can be delivered to your address for loading. YFT ship containers on a weekly basis from the UK. Our warehouse can combine your household items along with your car inside your own container. 

International Car Shipping: Check your vehicle history

Without an Export Certificate, UK customs may decide to check on any outstanding finance owed, especially if it is a new or high value vehicle. In the event that outstanding finance is due, you may still be able to ship you vehicle providing you can get written approval from the credit or loan company

International Car Shipping: Duty and Taxes:

We can ship your vehicle anywhere! However please bear in mind that you may be liable to pay import duties once your vehicle has arrived at the destination port. Whilst YFT Logistics can arrange for the necessary import clearance documentation. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully conversant with import regulations and requirements.
